Ilona Pongracz founded Ethika in 2002 to offer her experience and services to non-profit institutions as a fundraising specialist in the humanitarian, social and environmental fields.

She gained her experience working in the sponsorship sector of a multinational company and then at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the private sector fundraising division.

Ilona Pongracz also teaches fundraising courses, notably at the University of Geneva. In addition, Ethika is a partner of the CAS in fundraising (Certificate of Advanced Studies) at the « Haute école de gestion de Genève » (HEG) and is part of the Scientific Committee of this training.

She is also a member of the Swissfundraising Association and has organised, for 10 years, the annual fundraising seminar for non-profit organisations based in French-speaking Switzerland (about 100 participants each year).

She was Vice President of the Board of the "Switzerland for UNHCR" Foundation, which promotes the activities of the UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, to the Swiss public and raises funds for its projects.

Since 2022, Ethika has open an office in Ticino, while reinforcing its services in French-speaking Switzerland.
